Kevin A. Bauer, Managing Director

Prior to co-founding Global H2O Investments (GHI), Mr. Bauer founded East West Utilities, LLC (EWU), a company focused on designing, building, owning and operating desalination and wastewater plants for resort-oriented projects in Mexico and the Caribbean. As President of EWU, the company became the leading brand of desalination plants in Baja California Sur, Mexico. Prior to EWU, he was the Chief Financial Officer of Archimedes Technology and ARCHIS (an Archimedes subsidiary), both privately-held energy technology companies focused on improving the efficiency and safety of nuclear power generation and the nuclear fuel cycle. Mr. Bauer previously spent eight years in the investment banking industry, primarily with Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette and Credit Suisse First Boston, advising private equity and corporate clients on mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts and public and private financings. During his investment banking career, Mr. Bauer worked on more than 40 transactions with an aggregate value in excess of $5.0 billion. Mr. Bauer earned a B.A. in Economics from Washington and Lee University and an M.B.A. from the Darden School at the University of Virginia.
David C. Bruce, Managing Director

Prior to co-founding GHI, Mr. Bruce was the Vice President of Operations and Development of Del Mar Development located in Los Cabos, Mexico. In this role, Mr. Bruce focused on managing the operations of Del Mar Development and its many affiliates. In the 12 years prior to his relocation to Los Cabos, Mexico, Mr. Bruce was a Senior Vice President (SVP) at Senterra Corporation (Senterra), an affiliate of Del Mar Development. As SVP, Mr. Bruce managed the acquisitions, divestitures and financing transactions for Senterra and its affiliates. In 1999, in addition to his work at Senterra, Mr. Bruce founded DefensiveDriving.com. This company pioneered the use of the Internet to deliver state-approved defensive driving courses. Subsequently, Mr. Bruce received the 2003 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Mr. Bruce holds a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Arkansas.

John Huit, Director, Business Development

Mr. Huit has more than 20 years experience in the development, sales, execution, and management of industrial and municipal water, wastewater and infrastructure projects spanning the globe. This experience includes the design, construction and technology supply of conventional and advanced water and wastewater treatment facilities incorporating a wide variety of technologies and delivery methods. He previously held the positions of Vice President with Doosan Hydro Technology, Senior Project Manager with Parsons Water & Infrastructure and Director of Construction with The Haskell Corporation. Mr. Huit is responsible for the marketing and development of GHI service offerings. He is a member of American Water Works Association (AWWA), American Membrane Technology Association (AMTA), International Desalination Association (IDA) and Caribbean Desalination Association (CaribDA). Mr. Huit received his B.S. in Business and Economics from Lehigh University.
Kevin J. Lynk, Business Development

Mr. Lynk has more than 15 years of experience in all aspects of the seawater desalination industry, including sales and project infrastructure. Prior to joining GHI, and for 15 years, Mr. Lynk held the position of Operations Director for Polymetrics, and for Seawater Systems, in Los Cabos, Mexico, and helped pioneer seawater desalination in Los Cabos, and the state of Baja Sur, Mexico. Prior to relocating to Los Cabos, Mr. Lynk had a successful 15 year career as Vice President, Sales, for a large, metals service center, located outside of Chicago, serving the manufacturing and electronics industry. Mr. Lynk also served as Project Manager during 2007-2009, for the Colonos del Pedregal, 1.25 mgd SWRO desalination project, located in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Mr. Lynk received his B.A. degree from Marquette University.
Rick Kaiser, Senior Engineer

Mr. Kaiser brings over 30 years experience in many aspects of the water treatment industry including design, fabrication, production, field service, construction, project management and O&M. Prior to joining GHI’s team Mr. Kaiser worked at EWU for more than one year. Prior to EWU, Mr. Kaiser worked as a design and project management consultant to Seawater Systems supporting design and installation of seawater desalination systems. Mr. Kaiser has also previously worked for Aqua Media, Polymetrics, U.S. Filter, and Ionics designing and executing projects across a variety of industries in treatment areas from potable to industrial ultrapure water.
Carlos Hernandez, Operations Manager

Mr. Hernandez has more than 15 years providing operation, maintenance construction management and consulting services for the desalination, wastewater treatment hydraulic and power distribution, and well drilling industries. Prior to joining GHI, Mr. Hernandez worked at EWU for over two years managing the construction, installation, commissioning and operation of membrane-based desalination facilities. Mr. Hernandez experience also includes services to international companies as General Motors, Honda, Smat & Taikisha. As a member of Hydroaid Consultant Group, he completed a Post-Graduate Specialization Course on Management of Water Resources in Turin, Italy. Mr. Hernandez worked directly for the Municipality Water Supply of Culiacan, Water State Commission of Chiapas and Quality Treatment de Mexico. Mr. Hernandez lives in Los Cabos, Mexico.
Salvador Martinez, Associate, Project Finance

Mr. Martinez has more than 8 years of experience in the financial service industry. Prior to joining GHI, Mr. Martinez worked at EWU for over two years evaluating and executing design-build and asset acquisition opportunities of membrane-based desalination projects in the Baja California, Mexico. Prior to EWU, he worked for the Banking and Securities Commission, a financial regulatory agency in Mexico, performing valuation of publicly traded companies and supporting companies in the underwriting of securities. Mr. Martinez is a Public Accountant and holds a B.A. in Economics from I.T.A.M. and a M.B.A. from UCLA Anderson School of Management.

Mr. Buck has more than 10 years of experience in the financial and accounting services industry. Mr. Buck has worked as a financial analyst for Senterra for over 5 years. Prior to relocating to Mexico and joining Senterra, Mr. Buck worked for 2 years as an accountant for LGH & Co. Ltd., a Vancouver, B.C based public accounting firm. Since relocating to Mexico 9 years ago, Mr. Buck has worked for Calidad Enterprises and MPG Enterprises, both operations and management companies, in the roles of accounting manager, general administrator and controller.
